My interest is in the layers-the cumulative marks, the transparent paint, what is erased and what remains.  Intuitively responding, editing, then building on what has been done is an aspect of life which I continue to explore.  My paintings are analogous to the process required for growth; sometimes working against natural tendencies to create change, and other times giving chance the upper hand.
